Drishyam 2 is an official remake based on the sequel of the Malayalam original that was released last year amidst a roaring response both critically and commercially. The Malayalam franchise sees Mohanlal in the lead and Ajay steps into his shoes in the Hindi series.

Drishyam is a thriller that tells the story of a cable operator in Goa named Vijay Salgaonkar whose life revolves around his family and cinema. How his family get caught up in a murder investigation after the son of a high-profile police officer goes missing formed a chilling story. Drishyam 2 is slated for a theatrical release on November 18, 2022.
