After massive blockbusters such as Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for his upcoming film Housefull 5. During the trailer launch, Akshay reacts to the 5th instalment of the film, bringing back slapstick comedy.
Akshay Kumar On Housefull 5 Bringing Back Slapstick Comedy
When asked about Housefull 5 bringing back slapstick comedy, Akshay Kumar said, “If I would not be mistaken, then slapstick comedy yeh koi asaan comedy nahi hai. Nana sahab, Riteish, Abhishek ne itna saare comedy kiye hai. They can vouch for it. They are part of a comedy franchise, but let me tell you, slapstick comedy is very difficult. And this comedy that we have done is a slapstick comedy mixed with action comedy. It is physical comedy. I’m a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin.”
He added, “Trust me, I’m telling you I even have his photograph in my wallet, and if you want to see, I can show. I’m a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin. Because of the way he does comedy without saying a single word. With so much physicality, that kind of comedy is something I’m a huge fan of. So this film has that kind of thing. Unfortunately, this kind of comedy doesn’t that kind of kaise bolu kadar nahi milti, award toh bhuljaao. But it’s very difficult to make people laugh. When it comes to physical comedy and when it comes to slapstick comedy.”
