Alia Bhatt reacts on controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh jumping into the crowd

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh have been making headlines for their roles in rap bonanza ‘Gully Boy’ since its trailer was released. In the film, Ranveer Singh is playing the role of a street rapper who aspires to make it big. During ‘Gully Boy’ promotion, the livewire of Bollywood left his fans stunned through his top-notch rapping skills. But, recently he has become the talk of the town for jumping into the crowd at Lake Fashion Week 2019 and ended up hurting a few people.

While promoting ‘Gully Boy’, Bollywood Bubble asked Alia Bhatt about Ranveer Singh’s immature act at Lakme Fashion Week 2019, to which she replied saying, “It was an accident, his intention was not to hurt anyone.”  She further added that Ranveer is a very mature person.

For uninitiated, at Lakme Fashion Week, ‘Padmaavat’ actor was performing to the songs of ‘Gully Boy’ after completing his set, Ranveer jumped into the crowd in a bid to do something cool for his fans. However, things went pear-shaped as Ranveer ended up hurting quite a few people.

Notably, this is not the first time when Ranveer jumped into the crowd at the end of the event, At ‘Gully Boy’ concert held last month in Byculla, Ranveer Singh (who is known for going an extra mile) jumped into the crowd and it was loved by thousands of his fans gathered at the venue to listen to his rap.

Talking about ‘Gully Boy’, the film stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Vijay Raaz and Kalki Koechlin in lead roles. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, ‘Gully Boy’ is scheduled to hit theatres on February 14, 2019.
