Amidst investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, netizens now demand CBI probe in Sridevi’s death

Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise shook the entire nation. First, it was said that he committed suicide and later as shocking details related to his death case surfaced, speculations about the actor being killed are rife. A month post Sushant’s demise, his father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and few others in Patna for abetment to suicide.

Later, Sushant’s family and well as his fans demanded CBI enquiry citing that Mumbai Police isn’t doing a fair investigation. Later with the intervention of Bihar government, Centre approved CBI enquiry of Sushant’s death case. The Supreme Court will be announcing its judgement on Rhea’s transfer plea tomorrow.

Now amidst all this, netizens are demanding a CBI probe in Sridevi’s death as well. The legendary actress was found dead in a bathtub of her hotel room in Dubai on February 25, 2018. Just like in Sushant’s case there were several conspiracy theories surrounding her death as well.

Sridevi’s cause of death was said to be ‘accidental drowning’ however her fans still can’t accept that and they started trending #CBIEnquiryForSridevi on Twitter. One of the users questioned, “According to a news agency, Singh’s lawyer senior advocate Vikas Singh argued before the court that an insurance policy worth Rs 240 crore in was brought in Sridevi’s name in Oman and could be encashed only if the actor died in Dubai(sic).”

Whereas another user said, “Yes. CBI didn’t waste a sec before accepting inquiry demand for Sushant but no such enthusiasm for Sri Devi. Why? Just because she was a woman? CBI is misogynistic, patriarchal, sexist. I demand #CBIEnquiryForSridevi as well as no FIR against me for saying bad things about CBI(sic).”

Sridevi is survived by her husband Boney Kapoor and two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. She died at the age of 54.
