Arshad said, “For me, ‘Sehar’ was an experimental kind of film. There is a film ‘Waisa Bhi Hota Hai’ which I did and I don’t know if anybody knows about it but that was a very experimental film long time back and it was made on a very small budget. It was one of those things that I found exciting as an actor. ‘Sehar’ again, I wish had the backing of a good production house to let people know about it. Unfortunately, nobody knew that a film like ‘Sehar’, had come. So, that’s the sad part. So, I wish we had a better producer or somebody who invested more money, then things would have been different.”

He added, “Yes, I feel bad; any actor would feel bad. If you do something nice and I believed in the film and then not too many people have appreciated it and seen it, so then it feels bad. Fortunately now, everybody is seeing it because apparently it is on some OTT platform and I am told that it is being watched regularly.”

For the unversed, ‘Sehar’ was adapted from real-life events, based on Uttar Pradesh criminal Shri Prakash Shukla. Arshad Warsi played the lead role of a police officer, Ajay Kumar in the movie.
