Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti performed last rites of their father P. Khurrana, a renowed astrologer who died on Friday

Ayushmann Khurrana, Aparshakti Khurrana and their family are currently going through a difficult time. On Friday, Ayushmann and Aparshakti’s father and renowed astrologer P Khurrana passed away. He was admitted in Chandigarh’s hospital. Reportedly, Pandit P Khurrana was battling heart problems. Ayushmann and Aparshakti, who shared a good bond with their father, performed the last rites of Pandit P Khurrana.

His last rites took place at Manimajra cremation ground in Chandigarh. In the photos going viral, Ayushmann and Aparshakti look emotional.

Ayushmann and Aparshakti’s statement on their father’s demise

Following the death of P Khurrana, Ayushmann and Aparshakti released a statement. The official statement from the family reads, “It’s with our deep sadness to inform that Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana’s father, Astrologer P Khurrana passed away this this morning at 10.30 am in Mohali, owing to a prolonged incurable ailment. We are indebted for all your prayers and support during this time of personal loss.”

For the uninitiated, P Khurrana was a very popular astrologer in North India. Ayushmann was very close to his father. In 2020, Ayushmann had wished his father on birthday. His post was captioned, “Happy bday to the world’s best father! You gave me the wings, talent and ambition. I won’t tell your age to the world. Coz they won’t believe it. Jai Jai (that’s what we say when we do charan sparsh)”

In 2021, Aparshakti shared a video of his father playing a flute on his Instagram. His caption read, “Jamming all the stress away with papa who has been a HUGE Dev Anand fan. 100 Yaad Kiya Dil Ne Kahan Ho Tum is even more special because it’s sung by the legends, Hemant Kumar Saab and Lata Mangeshkar ji.
