bank chor movie

Touted to be one of the funniest and cleanest comedies of this year, ‘Bank Chor‘ has finally passed the CBFC test and received a U/A certificate with no visual cuts. It’s indeed a great news for the entire team. The movie which stars Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi in the lead roles revolves around the life of three idiots who choose the worst possible day to rob a bank. The three robbers, Champak, Genda and Gulab are simpletons and their banter doesn’t have adult humour.

Just to ensure that the movie appeals to family audiences, the makers decided to not include any smoking scenes in the movie. And this decision has paid off as the CBFC has passed the film with just minor audio dubs and no visual cuts. Says Riteish, “Throughout the making of the film, we kept family audiences in mind and we are so glad that the film has got a rating that will attract all kinds of people to the theaters on June 16! Ganpati Bappa Morya, Let’s Rock!” (Also Read: ‘Bakwaas With Bank Chor’: Riteish Deshmukh’s interview with Ranveer Singh is hilarious AF!)

Vivek adds, “Even though my character plays a badass cop in the film, we refrained from showing him smoking or using any cuss words as we didn’t want to alienate younger audiences and families from the film. So ‘Bank Chor’ now earns the accolade of being one of the cleanest comic thrillers ever.” Producer Ashish Patil states, “‘Bank Chor’ is the most fun, most wholesome and most massy entertainer that we’ve made at Y-Films. Our movies have always catered to all families and this one is no exception. Getting no cuts also instills faith in our jokes that they are not THAT bad!”

The movie also features Rhea Chakraborty, Sahil Vaid, Bhuvan Arora, Vikram Thapa and Baba Sehgal. The movie is directed by Bumpy, produced by Ashish Patil and presented by Y-Films, the youth studio of Yash Raj Films. It will have a smooth release on June 16, 2017.
