What Is Operation Sindoor?

In response to the brutal attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which resulted in 26 civilian deaths, India launched a significant counter-strike deep into Pakistani territory under the codename Operation Sindoor. Executed overnight, the Indian Air Force targeted nine key terrorist-linked sites. It includes the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur and several hideouts and madrasas associated with wanted terrorists Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed. The operation targeted five locations in Pakistan-administered Kashmir (POK) and four in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
