Boney Kapoor has bought the rights of the Egyptian hit film ‘Hepta: The Last Lecture’. He is going to remake the film in Hindi and other languages in India. The film will be produced by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects and co-produced by Fresh Lime Films.

Based on Mohamed Sadek’s best-selling book, ‘Hepta’ and directed by Hadi El Bagoury, the movie revolves around the seven stages of love and was one of the highest-grossing romantic films in the history of Egyptian cinema.

Talking of the same, Boney said, “India and Egypt have been strongly influencing each other’s culture, arts and architecture since ancient times. It is a pleasure to cooperate with Egyptian cinema. I strongly believe that this is only the beginning and we shall soon be seeing films from Egypt and India being remade in their respective languages.

Boney is also remaking the Hindi Film ‘Pink’ in Tamil tentatively titled ‘AK 59’ with south superstar Ajith. The film is being shot currently and it’s being said that Janhvi Kapoor might have a special appearance in the film. Also, Vidya Balan is going to play an important part in the movie, which has been slightly changed keeping in mind the Tamil audiences.

For the remake, actress Shraddha Srinath will be stepping into Taapsee Pannu’s character, while Ajith will be reprising Amitabh Bachchan‘s role. Confirming the reports of Vidya being a part of this film, Boney Kapoor had told Mid-Day, “I wouldn’t call it a special appearance. There are certain changes that the director H Vinoth has incorporated to suit the Tamil market, and Vidya’s character has been accordingly written.
