Dangal footfalls

Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Dangal’ is breaking records at the box office when it comes to collection. However, the film has failed to beat Salman Khan-starrer films ‘Sultan’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ when it comes to footfalls.

‘Dangal’ had 1.92 crore footfalls in its first week. Well, it is said that the footfalls could have been better, if the tickets rates were not hiked. Salman Khan-starrer ‘Sultan’ had 2.19 crore footfalls, and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ had 2.01 crore footfalls in the first week.

Well, we can expect that ‘Dangal’ will get better footfalls in the second week as the film has got the tax-free status in a few states.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Dangal’ is based on the real life story of Mahavir Phogat and his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat.
