Deepika Padukone expresses gratitude as she joins Cannes Film Festival jury

Deepika Padukone is now officially a member of the Cannes Film Festival jury. The official Twitter account of Cannes 2022 made the announcement on their handle. They shared a picture collage of Deepika, along with the other members of the jury. French actor Vincent Lindon has been announced as the president of the jury. Celebrating her achievement, Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram stories to express her gratitude as she got named as a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival. The actress expressed her gratitude with folded hands.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the Pathaan actress shared the announcement along with a link of the Cannes Film Festival website. Not only that, she even added a folded hands gif to her post, expressing her gratitude.

Taking to her Instagram stories further, the actress also shared her description from the Cannes Film Festival. Her achievements included her performance in XXX: Xander Cage with Vin Diesel, Piku with Amitabh Bachchan and many more stellar performances. Deepika’s recent achievement where she was awarded as TIME’s most influential is also added to her list of accomplishments.

Taking to their official Twitter handle, the Cannes Film Festival also made a post. The tweet read: “French actor Vincent Lindon is the Jury President of the 75th Festival de Cannes! Along with his eight jury members, he will reward one of the 21 films in Competition with the Palme d’or, on Saturday May 28, during the Closing Ceremony. #Cannes2022 (sic).”

On the work front, Padukone has the movie Pathaan with superstar Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The movie is directed by Siddharth Anand and backed by Yash Raj Films. The actress also has the movie Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, The Intern with Amitabh Bachchan and a few other projects in the pipeline.
