The Dhurandhar saga refuses to slow down, and if the current momentum is anything to go by, it isn’t stopping anytime soon. After delivering a record-breaking blockbuster in December 2025 and storming past the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide, Aditya Dhar’s action franchise has only grown stronger. Dhurandhar: The Revenge, also known as Dhurandhar 2, has made headlines again, breaking records a month before its release.
Dhurandhar 2 Gets Massive Non-Theatrical Deal Of Rs 245 Cr
Now, months ahead of its release, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has already started dominating trade conversations, thanks to a staggering non-theatrical deal valued at Rs 245 crore. At a time when satellite revenues have steadily declined and digital deals have become more cautious, the sequel has managed to defy the trend and set a new industry benchmark.
Dhurandhar gets a new streaming platform: the second part of Aditya Dhar’s action series will stream on JioHotstar post-theatrical release. According to reports by Pinkvilla, JioHotstar outbid Netflix to secure the film’s digital streaming rights for Rs 150 crore, signalling immense confidence in the franchise’s pull. Meanwhile, Star Network has acquired the satellite rights for Rs 50 crore, and T-Series has picked up the music rights for Rs 45 crore. Combined, these agreements bring the total non-theatrical valuation to Rs 245 crore, placing the film among the highest pre-release deals in recent Hindi cinema history.
To put things into perspective, the first Dhurandhar had already locked an impressive Rs 140 crore through its non-theatrical business. The sequel has nearly doubled that figure, underlining not just the brand’s commercial strength but also the growing demand for large-scale action spectacles led by bankable stars. Trade analysts believe this surge reflects how the franchise has evolved from a hit film into a dependable cinematic event.
Dhurandhar 2 Breaks Records Even Before Release
The theatrical buzz only amplifies the excitement. With Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna returning to lead the high-octane narrative, expectations remain sky-high. Their presence, combined with Aditya Dhar’s ambitious storytelling and scale-driven vision, has turned the sequel into one of 2026’s most anticipated releases.
Scheduled to hit theatres on 19 March 2026, Dhurandhar: The Revenge will face stiff competition from Rocking Star Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups. Yet, judging by the record-breaking deals and the frenzy surrounding its release, the film has already secured a strong head start, proving that the Dhurandhar phenomenon extends far beyond the box office.
