Dhurandhar The Revenge Manav Gohil

Actor Manav Gohil may not have been at the centre of Dhurandhar The Revenge, but his character Sushant Bansal turned out to be one of the film’s most crucial links in the narrative. Working closely with R. Madhavan’s character, Ajay Sanyal, Sushant played a key role in shaping the story’s emotional and strategic arc.

Manav Gohil Reveals NOT Auditioning For Sushant Bansal Roles In Dhurandhar 2

(Spoiler alert!) He was the one who orchestrated Jaskirat’s abduction, delivering him into Madhavan’s world, where the young boy was trained and eventually brought back from Pakistan, setting the stage for the film’s larger conflict and high-stakes drama. His layered presence added depth to an already intense storyline, making his performance stand out despite limited screen time.

Interestingly, Manav’s journey into the film was anything but conventional. In an industry where multiple auditions and screen tests are the norm, the actor revealed that he landed the role without even knowing what he was signing up for. Speaking to India Today, he shared, “It was never really a choice in the first place. I was holidaying with my family in Mussoorie when Mukesh Chhabra called and asked if I had dates. I said yes, and he said, ‘Bangkok jaana hai.’ That was it. There was no audition. I didn’t know what the film was, who the director was, nothing.”

Recalling the unusual experience, he added, “It was bizarre. I was almost brought in last minute. On one hand, I didn’t know if I was right for it, and on the other, they hadn’t seen me test for it. But things fall into place in strange ways. Here I am now, just counting my blessings.”

For Manav Gohil, who began his television journey with shows like Choodiyan in 2001 and went on to feature in popular series such as Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and CID, this project marked a unique turning point. It not only showcased him in a darker, more complex role but also proved that sometimes, in an unpredictable industry like Bollywood, opportunities arrive in the most unexpected ways—and end up becoming career-defining moments.
