Ranveer Singh And Kriti Sanon To Begin Filming Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 From January 2026? Here’s What We Know

After Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, reports indicate that Ranveer Singh has stepped in to portray the third generation of Don in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3.0. Farhan Akhtar and the team behind Don 3 have also cast Kriti Sanon as the female lead for this action-packed thriller. Since then, speculation has been rife about the shooting schedule of Don 3.

Ranveer Singh, Kriti Sanon To Begin Filming For Don 3 In January

A source told Pinkvilla, “Ranveer Singh will be filming with Aditya Dhar for Dhurandhar until September, and then immediately shift focus to the promotions of this epic action thriller, set against the backdrop of Indian Intelligence Agencies operating in Pakistan. Right after Dhurandhar releases on December 5, Ranveer will begin preparing for Don 3, with plans to commence shooting in January 2026.”

The source further revealed that Farhan Akhtar has 120 Bahadur scheduled for release on November 21, and he will be taking on the director’s role for Don 3. “Kriti also has Tere Ishk Mein releasing on November 28. The key stakeholders are ready to enter the world of Don after completing their current commitments,” the source added.

Several actors are being considered for the negative lead of Don 3, including Vikrant Massey. But as reported by the source insists that the team has not yet finalised the antagonist. “Even Vikrant Massey is not locked in for Don 3, as there are multiple names under consideration. Given that it’s a major franchise film, many actors have approached Farhan for the role. And he is expected to finalise the negative lead within a month,” the source concluded.

About Don 3 And Ranveer’s Upcoming Movies

Don 3 will be extensively shot in Europe. Farhan’s team has already conducted a recce to select the filming locations. The crew hiring process is also underway, as Farhan is currently in the UK finalising timelines and logistics. He is also evaluating several potential actors for the negative lead. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is also working on a zombie-based action thriller with Jai Mehta. It is scheduled to start production in the second half of 2026 and is currently in pre-production.
