Marriage often becomes a concern for parents the moment their kids come to the marriageable age. Then they start hunting for a proper prospect if the kids haven’t found their own partner. But did you know if actors go through the same dilemma? During a fun interaction session on Bollywood Bubble’s Her Story season 2, Kriti recalls the time when her relatives were quite apprehensive about her joining the film industry in the beginning as she was a ‘bright student’.

Her relatives were also ‘shocked’ by her decision of entering Bollywood as they were concerned about her marriage about her not getting married as ‘nobody wants to marry an actor or a model.’ “There were a lot of things like shaadi nahi hoti jaldi (marriage will get delayed). You hear all these things, you joke about it, you laugh it out,” Kriti exclusively told us. She mentioned that her parents are supportive and support her career. Not just her relatives, the Hum Do Hamare Do actor also recalled the time when one of her male friends expressed his concern that there will be a problem with her marriage.

One of my male friends, who is also still a friend, said that marriage becomes a problem, so I was just shocked that my generation also thinks this way. That was a little shocking and I was like why is everyone talking about marriage. Why is everyone talking about marriage, there are so many things like I’m attempting something which is uncertain. Yes, it is a big dream but I just feel like let me try, I won’t know otherwise,” the Mimi actor said. However, Sanon said that getting married “was never her agenda.”
