Alok said, “We talked over WhatsApp on Feb 8, just one week before. Everything was good and he sounded happy as he was getting works. Whenever he used to get work, he told me. We used to stay nearby and met often. But after the lockdown, we couldn’t meet. According to me, he had no stress of work and there was no depression. He also told me he bagged web series. From the note he had posted, it is clear that he had issues with his wife. But suicide is not a solution.”

He added, “When I spoke to him one week ago, I was shooting and told him ‘let’s meet’. He had put a picture with his wife on WhatsApp status and I commented, ‘waah bhabhi ke saath pic’. He laughed. After his marriage, he got more involved in family life and we didn’t talk much.”
