Farhan Akhtar points out a glaring error in West Bengal school book
Filmmaker-actor-singer Farhan Akhtar pointed out a “glaring error” made in a West Bengal school book and urged the West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee to rectify it. He has urged the West Bengal’s Minister of school to replace the textbook that is published with an error in the depiction of legendary athlete Milkha Singh.
Farhan, who played the title role in the Indian track and field legend Milkha Singh’s biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, pointed out that a Bengali school textbook carried his image instead of the athlete.
“To the Minister of School Education, West Bengal. There is a glaring error with the image used in one of the school textbooks to depict Milkha Singhji. Could you please request the publisher to recall and replace this book? Sincerely,” Farhan tweeted on Sunday.

‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag‘ was a biopic based on the life of legendary athlete Milkha Singh an Indian athlete who was a champion runner and first Indian athlete Indian to qualify for Olympic finals. The film also starred The film also starred Divya Dutta, Meesha Shafi, Pavan Malhotra in pivotal roles.
