John Abraham’s recent release, ‘Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran’ has received critical acclaim at the box office. It is no secret that the film was caught in a controversy that delayed its release. The reason being a fallout between the film’s original producers and John Abraham. The two were caught up in a bitter battle over the delay in payments.

There were reports that it was Akshay who had recommended Prernaa to John. However, when John and Prernaa were involved in a legal battle, the actor is said to have reached out to Akshay for help, but the latter distanced himself.

As reported by Deccan Chronicle, “When John was looking for support in his battle with Prernaa he immediately thought of Akshay who had collaborated with Prernaa over three films: ‘Rustom’, ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘Padman’. As John’s association with Akshay goes back to almost a decade and he thought he would get complete support from Akshay.”

The report further stated, “Akshay had no complaints at all about his association with Prernaa. He saw no reason to join John’s fight against her. Even otherwise, Akshay likes to keep away from spats and controversies as much as possible.”(Also Read: John Abraham’s ‘Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran’ has a slow start at the box-office)

But looks like there is no bad blood between John and Akshay. As the actor cum producer cleared the air with a tweet. He wrote, “Heard that my brother @akshaykumar and I are fighting..he would beat me up 🙂 Sorry to disappoint but NO truth to this. The only explosions happening currently are on screen in Parmanu :)”

Akshay Kumar too tweeted, “Absolutely So proud of you brother @TheJohnAbraham, heard you’ve done a swell job in Parmanu…gonna catch it real soon. Hugs :)”

John Abraham and Akshay Kumar have worked together in films like ‘Garam Masala’, ‘Desi Boys’ and ‘Housefull 2’.
