Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha start prepping for ‘Dabangg 3’

Superstar Salman Khan’s upcoming action flick ‘Race 3’ is all set to hit the theaters soon. The actor will next start work on Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’ that also stars Priyanka Chopra. There is some more good news for Salmaniacs, the Khan will simultaneously start shoot for ‘Dabangg 3’.

The look test for the Prabhudheva directorial has already started. The film will once again have Sonakshi Sinha depicting the role of Rajjo to Salman’s Chulbul Pandey and Arbaaz Khan as Chulbul’s half-brother Makkhi Pandey.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, “’Dabangg 3′ look tests of the various characters started from this month in Mumbai. It’s been six years since ‘Dabangg 2’ released hence Salman and Sonakshi, both are also undergoing look tests along with the rest of the cast. Chulbul by now would have become a higher-ranking police officer and not the Inspector he played in the earlier Dabanggs. Also, apparently, the story this time will revolve around a real-life cop and certain aspects of his personality has been incorporated into Chulbul’s character, by writer Dilip Shukla (who co-wrote ‘Dabangg’ with Abhinav Kashyap) and wrote ‘Dabangg 2’. Hence Salman’s look may change from the earlier two ‘Dabanggs’ as will Sonakshi’s as she’s lost tons of weight since then.”

The reports further reveal that the latest installment of the hit ‘Dabangg’ franchise will have some new characters. One of them will be the main villain Chedi Singh’s brother. A Bollywood actor has already been roped in to play the antagonist.

Sources added, “Everything is under wraps right now and all test looks are being conducted in a hush-hush manner. Director-actor Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Ashwami, is expected to debut in ‘Dabangg 3’ as Salman will launch her.”

The Prabhudheva-directorial will be going on floor from September 14.
