Janhvi Kapoor Tirumala Temple Peddi Ram Charan

As Peddi finally hit theatres on Thursday amid massive fan celebrations, Janhvi Kapoor began the day on a spiritual note. The actor visited the revered Tirumala temple in Tirupati to seek blessings for Peddi, her latest Telugu release opposite Ram Charan. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi marks Janhvi Kapoor’s second Telugu film after Devara: Part 1 alongside Jr NTR.

Janhvi Kapoor Visits Tirumala Temple

Early Thursday morning, videos surfaced online showing Janhvi Kapoor beginning her journey to the temple through the Alipiri footpath route. Accompanied by her aunt, actor Maheshwari, the actress climbed the 3,550 steps leading to the shrine barefoot.

Keeping her appearance simple and understated, Janhvi wore a basic kurta-pyjama with her hair tied in a bun. She was also seen wearing earphones while making the climb. Several clips from Tirupati showed the actress taking short breaks during the trek and warmly interacting with devotees who recognised her along the way.

Janhvi Kapoor has frequently visited the Tirumala temple over the years and is known to seek blessings there during important milestones in her personal and professional life. Her latest visit came on the release day of Peddi, one of her most anticipated Telugu projects so far.

After completing the climb, Janhvi was later spotted inside the temple premises dressed in a purple silk saree. She paired the traditional look with matching jewellery, including earrings, bangles, a necklace and a waist belt. A bindi and a neatly styled half-up hairstyle completed her appearance. Videos and pictures from the temple quickly went viral across social media platforms.

Meanwhile, celebrations surrounding Peddi had already taken over theatres across several cities. In Hyderabad, Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni Konidela joined fans at the iconic Sree Ramulu Theatre to watch the film with audiences. Viral videos showed her cheering, throwing confetti and celebrating alongside fans inside the packed theatre.

The excitement was equally intense in Bengaluru, where fans gathered outside theatres from the early hours of the morning. Giant cut-outs of Ram Charan, firecrackers, dancing and loud celebrations turned the film’s release into a festive event across multiple locations.

On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor recently expanded her presence in Telugu cinema with Peddi following her debut in Devara: Part 1. The actress also has several Hindi projects in the pipeline as she continues balancing work across multiple film industries.
