Playback singer Jasmine Sandlas needs no introduction today and it’s all thanks to her chartbuster songs in Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge. The singer – who is backing in the popularity of songs like Jaiye Sajana, Main Aur Tu, Shararat and more, recently performed live in Ahmedabad, and set the stage on fire. While many praised her energy-packed performance, a clip from the show is not going viral for all the wrong reasons.
The video – featuring Jasmine performing to Shararat, is drawing massive online criticism as many netizens allege lip-syncing and over acting. Jasmine Sandlas Trolled For ‘Fake Performance’ At Recent Live Concert
A clip of Jasmine Sandlas performing Shararat during her April 19 Ahmedabad concert is going viral online with many calling it a ‘fake performance’. Seen dressed in a mirror-work golden lehenga choli with a contrasting red dupatta, the clip shows the singer pour water over herself before beginning the act. While many called the act distasteful, other also noted that she lowered her microphone several times during the performance but the song continued to play uninterrupted in the background. In fact, she was also captured performing the song’s hook step on stage.
While those present at the venue seemed to have enjoyed the performance, netizens quickly took to the comment section to troll the singer and express displeasure over the alleged lip-syncing and on-stage antics. Commenting on the video, one user simply wrote, “What is this nonsense?” A second added, “She is clearly lip syncing…what kind of performance is this?”
Another added, “Why lip sync??????” while a fourth noted, “Live concert me bhi live nahi gaate ye log. (These people don’t sing live in live performance as well).” A fifth user took the comments and shared, “What is this? Where is the real performance? The song is being played behind, and is lip-syncing now called a performance? Fake performance.”
Another angle of the same video has also been shared on X.
While many criticised her performance, some fans also defended her act. One supporter wrote, “That’s me vibing with my camera on the stage. Tbh what a show it was, thank you @jasminesandlas for creating this kind of show.”
