Sooraj Pancholi and late Jiah Khan's case update

Late actress Jiah Khan passed away on June 3, 2013. It’s been exactly four years now after her death which was considered to be a suicide that she committed at her Juhu residence. But, after her death her mother Rabia Khan had alleged Sooraj Pancholi of murdering Jiah Khan. Since then, both Rabia and Sooraj’s families have been in a legal tussle fighting it out in the High Court. Today, there’s a latest update on the case where the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has informed the special court that the chat between Jiah Khan and Sooraj Pancholi on BBM (Blackberry Messenger) couldn’t be recovered.

Earlier, late Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia Khan had filed an application to thoroughly check the Call Data Records (CDR) of Sooraj Pancholi, his father Aditya Pancholi and Sooraj’s friends Karan Joshi and Devraj Chaudhari claiming it to be an important part of the evidence. (Also Read: Sooraj Pancholi’s mother Zarina Wahab is upset over the new twist in Jiah Khan case)

The CBI has replied on this matter, “The CBI had carried out an investigation regarding the deleted BBM messages from the BlackBerry mobile of the accused. The mobile was forwarded to FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory), Gandhinagar, Gujarat, for analysis and report. But, they could not recover the deleted messages from the mobile.” [sic]

Further, reports suggest that the CDRs of Sooraj’s father Aditya Pancholi also didn’t reveal anything related to the case. And same is the case with Karan and Devraj (Sooraj’s friends).

Sooraj’s lawyer Prashant Patil has given his statement to a tabloid saying, “The arguments on Rabia’s application will be heard on the next date.” [sic]

The next hearing for the case has been scheduled on June 9, 2017.
