Kangana Ranaut and sister Rangoli Chandel summoned Mumbai police

The Mumbai police has issued fresh summons to actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel. The actress and her sister has now been asked to appear before the Mumbai police on November 10.

A complaint was filed against Kangana and her sister Rangoli for making “hateful” and “derogatory” statements against a particular community via their social media posts.

According to ANI report, Mumbai Police has now asked Kangana and her sister to be present before it on November 10. The summons was issued after an FIR was registered against after Bombay Magistrate court ordered to file the case based on allegations that the Ranaut sisters tried to create a divide between communities through their social media posts. The complaint against the actress was filed by Munawwar Ali Sayyed.

The case was registered against the Ranaut sisters under Section 124 A (sedition), 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) and 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings by insulting its religion) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Both Kangana and her sister are currently in their hometown Manali in Himachal Pradesh. Ever since this case has been registered against the actress, she has taken several digs at Maharashtra government.
