Kangana Ranaut is appearing in the first biopic of her career ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. Also with this movie, the ‘Queen’ actress has made her debut as a director, after Krish left the film citing personal reasons. The movie is hitting the screens on January 25 and just ahead of its release, the actress paid a visit to a temple in her hometown i.e. Himachal Pradesh to seek blessings.

Kangana’s team shared a picture of her on the Instagram handle where she is seen with folded hands at Kuldevi Maa Mahisasurmardani temple in Himachal. Kangana Ranaut was wearing a traditional attire with a tika on her forehead. Have a look at the picture.

Kangana is leaving no stone unturned to promote the movie. Today, ‘Manikarnika’ will have a special screening for the President of India Ram Nath Kovind. Kangana along with her team will be attending the screening at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

‘Manikarnika’ is based on the life of the warrior queen Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actress is playing the character of Rani Laxmibai and the movie will show her journey as a daughter, wife, mother, queen and the warrior who fought against the British East India Company during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

‘Manikarnika’ has been partly directed by Krish and after his exit, Kangana took over as director. This magnum opus is being produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti.

‘Manikarnika’ also stars Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi, Danny Denzongpa, Jisshu Sengupta, and Ankita Lokhande in titular roles.
