The ‘Baby Doll’ singer Kanika Kapoor recently recovered from Coronavirus and was discharged after having a series of tests. She has been in the headlines since the time she was discovered to be Covid-19 positive. The singer was accused of reckless behaviour after returning from abroad amidst this pandemic. Now, new reports state that Kanika will be donating her blood plasma for other Covid-19 patients.

According to a report by India Today, a team of doctors from King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, will test Kanika’s blood to check if her plasma is fit to be used as a treatment for Covid-19 patients. It has been believed that the recovered Covid-19 patients contain the antibodies against this virus.

The report also says that doctors will visit Kanika‘s house to collect a sample for testing and once cleared, the singer will donate the plasma on either the 28th or 29th of this month. Kanika was discharged from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) on April 6.

Actress Zoa Morani was also tested Covid-19 positive along with her father Karim Morani and sister Shaza Morani. Now, after recovering from the virus, she had also announced that she would donate her plasma for other patients to recovery.
