Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan’s collaboration has given us some unforgettable movies. The most memorable of the lot being KJo’s directorial debut ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ that hit the theaters in 1998. The audiences fell in love with Rahul, Anjali and Tina (Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji’s characters, respectively). The dialogues such as “Pyar dosti hai!” and “Kuch kuch hota hai Rahul, tum nahi samjhoge” are still fresh in our minds.

It has been a long time since Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan have come together. Their last film as a director and actor was ‘My Name is Khan’. Though SRK had a cameo in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, they never came together for a full-fledged film.

We bring some good news for the KJo-SRK fans, Karan has just confirmed his plans to reunite with Shah Rukh for a film.

In a recent interview with HT, Karan said, “I just can’t wait to share cinema space with Shah Rukh again. In the last two years, we co-produced films together such as ‘Student of the Year’ and ‘Dear Zindagi’ but now I can’t wait to collaborate with him in a full-fledged manner because I know whenever we do something together, it will be extraordinary and amazing.”

Karan further added, “Shah Rukh isn’t just a part of my career. He is a part of my life as well. Shah Rukh, Gauri and the kids- Aryan, Suhana and AbRam are my immediate family. I won’t even use the word ‘dosti’. Apart from dad and mum, I consider SRK and Aditya Chopra’s families my other families in the city. They will always be in every part and beat of my life.”

When asked to confirm if his next directorial venture will star Shah Rukh Khan, Karan said, “Now that I am back from my birthday break, I will take all those decisions, but I know one thing; he has been one of my best experiences in cinema ever and it’s something that I can’t wait to repeat.”(Also Read: Karan Johar shares Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor’s colourful moment from ‘Dhadak’)
