Samay Raina Reacts To Sunil Pal’s Claim Of Rejecting India’s Got Latent

In a recent interaction with the paparazzi, Sunil Pal spoke about Samay Raina and his controversial bbut much-talked about show. During the exchange, Sunil claimed that he had turned down an offer to appear on India’s Got Latent. He told the paps, “No, he had spoken to me and said he would give me ₹25 lakh. I said I wouldn’t cuss. He said, ‘Don’t do it, but we would be doing that.’”

Reacting to Sunil’s claim, Samay took to his Instagram Stories and dismissed it with just a couple of words. Sharing a screenshot of the news, the stand-up comedian wrote, “Fake news (crying emojis) Sunil Pal ko ₹25 lakh? (laughing emojis).”

Sunil Pal isn’t the only celeb who slammed Samay Raina in the past. Following the controversial first season, actor Mukesh Khanna too criticised Raina and said the comedian should be paraded on a donkey owing to the content the show had. However, Samay recently collaborated with Mukesh and their collaboration left fans wondering whether Samay might also collaborate with Sunil in the future. But seems like a collab between the duo isn’t on the cards at the moment.

Sunil & Samay’s Altercation

In 2025, Samay courted legal trouble following Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks about parents and sex on India’s Got Latent. The comment triggered nationwide outrage and resulted in several FIRs being filed against both Samay and Ranveer. This led to the comedian being forced to remove all the episodes from YouTube. Along with legal trouble, the show and comedian was clammed by several celebs, including comedian Sunil Pal. In fact, Pal suggested that Samay should learn the art of clean comedy from Kapil Sharma and even went on to call both Samay and Ranveer “terrorists”.

During his comeback stand-up special, Still Alive, Samay hit back claiming that Kapil Sharma himself had wanted to appear on India’s Got Latent. He also called Sunil “insecure” and “frustrated” during the episode. The two later came face-to-face for the first time on The Great Indian Kapil Show, where Samay roasted Sunil, while Sunil’s jokes failed to land. On the premiere episode of India’s Got Latent Season 2, Samay revived his “Aap brush kyun nahi karte?” (Why don’t you brush your teeth?) joke that he had previously made about Sunil, reigniting their long-running feud.

India’s Got Latent Season 2 premiered on June 20 with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as its panellists. The second episode – featuring Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Kiku Sharda and Chandan Prabhakar, released on Friday June 3. The episodes are savailable to stream on Netflix and YouTube.
