Former actress Kaykasshan Patel’s husband passes away; B-town rushes to offer condolences

Former actress and socialite Kaykasshan Patel’s businessman husband Areef Patel breathed his last on Monday. Reportedly, Areef passed away after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest. As soon as the news of Areef’s death broke, several B-town celebs rushed to Kaykasshan’s residence to offer their condolences.

Celebs like Malaika Arora, Ranveer Singh’s mother Anju Bhavnani, designer Manish Malhotra were snapped at the actress’ residence. Businessman Areef was the owner of the company Patel Roadways. Unlike his socialite wife, he preferred staying away from the limelight.

Sanjay Kapoor, Anil Kapoor’s wife Sunita Kapoor, Shamita Shetty, Suniel Shetty along with his wife Mana and producer-filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala were also seen arriving at the bereaved actress’ house to pay their last respects. Areef’s funeral will reportedly take place on Wednesday.

Areef was 47-years-old and is survived by his wife and two sons.

Kaykasshan made her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty starrer ‘Hera Pheri’. She appeared in the song ‘Jab Bhi Koi Haseena’ in this comic caper. She has also acted in music singles like ‘Yaaro Sab Dua Karo’, ‘Silli Silli Hawa’ and ‘Husn Jawani’.
