Actor Kriti Sanon is all set to impress the audience with her portrayal of Janaki in Adipurush. Considering it is based on Ramayan, people are excited to watch Adipurush. Prabhas essays the role of Raghav (Ram) while Kriti plays Janaki (Sita) in the movie. However, playing a god or goddess onscreen is not an easy task for an actor. They have to do a lot of homework before getting into the skin of the character. Well, Kriti did the same for the role of Goddess Sita in Adipurush.

Kriti Sanon on her transformation into Janaki in Adipurush

The Shehzada actor spoke about her transformation and what she did to get into the persona of Janaki. “Om has possibly read everything available on Ramayana and had a clear vision of the project. The transformation into Janaki was not just about the physical aspects, but also about internalising the essence of the character. It took a considerable amount of time and effort to immerse myself in Janaki’s persona. To understand her emotional journey, her virtues and to bring her to life on screen. It was a meticulous process that involved rehearsals. Multiple sittings not only on the look and attire but also understanding the historical and mythological context of the character.” She told Etimes.

Kriti added that given the character, there was an inherent expectation to portray her with utmost respect and authenticity. She also mentioned that she has approached this role with great care and diligence. “Every aspect of her character, from her pure loving heart to her virtues to her unwavering strength to her immense faith in Lord Ram – understanding Janaki has been a beautiful journey,” the Mimi actor added.
