Ma Anand Sheela is currently in India and filmmaker Karan Johar interviewed her at ‘The Conversation’, organised by Humans For Humanity in association with Sipping Thoughts on September 29. During her interview, she spoke about her life, relationship with Godman Osho and a lot more. Earlier there were reports that a web series on Osho will be bankrolled by Karan Johar, and helmed by Shakun Batra. Alia was rumoured to play Ma Anand Sheela, the secretary and spokesperson of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh aka Osho.

As per a report in Times of India, when Sheela was asked which actress she’d want to play her role, she took the name of Alia Bhatt. She said, “I think there is a movie being made in Bollywood and I hope Alia Bhatt will play my role.”

Ma Anand Sheela also clarified that she has not been approached by any production house and by taking the name of Alia Bhatt she is not making any announcement or giving confirmation. “When I say that, it is my wish, my choice of actress. She looks a bit like me and she has a bit of spunk in her like me,” the 7o-year-old said.

Earlier, on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, Priyanka Chopra revealed that she is going to make a movie on Ma Anand Sheela. She has collaborated with Oscar-winner filmmaker Barry Levinson for this and she also said that the film will be shown from the perspective of Ma Anand Sheela.
