Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi to play lovers in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next – Report

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a maverick when it comes to portraying romance on screen. His love stories have been iconic and seems like the filmmaker has found two new muses for his next one. According to latest reports, Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi will be the new SLB pairing.

Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi to team up

According to a report in Pinkvilla, SLB has roped in Mrunal and Siddhant for his next production. Any other detail about the film is strictly being kept under wraps for now. However, reportedly the film will be a romance drama featuring this first time pairing of Mrunal and Siddhant. The film will be directed by Ravi Udyawar, who is known for helming the Sridevi starrer Mom.

While the film will mark a first collaboration for the actors, Ravi and Siddhant have already worked together. The director has helmed Siddhant’s actioner Yudhra which is expected to release next year. As for Mrunal, the director will team up with her for the first time as well. Ravi is also reportedly working on Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. He will work on it post wrapping up the SLB production.

The shoot for the Mrunal-Siddhant film is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2024. Both the actors have prior commitments to fulfil before that. The actor has another love story with Triptii Dimri in the pipeline. Whereas Mrunal has several projects in her kitty down South. It includes Hi Nanna with Nani, VD 13 with Vijay Deverakonda and an actioner with Sivakarthikeyan.

Mrunal, Siddhant, SLB upcoming films

Meanwhile, Siddhant has a couple of films up for release. They include Yudhra and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Ananya Panday and Gourav Adarsh. As for Mrunal, apart from her impressive South lineup, she also has Pippa with Ishaan Khatter and Priyanshu Painyuli, and Pooja Meri Jaan in Hindi. SLB also has one project up for release, the web series Heeramandi. Post that, he is reported to be directing Baiju Bawra starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. On the production front, he is reported to be in talks with Shahid Kapoor for a commercial entertainer.
