Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte and Shweta Tripathi come together for ‘Raat Akeli Hai’
Powerhouse performer Nawazuddin Siddiqui was last seen in the biographical film, ‘Thackeray’. And now, he is gearing up for a romantic-crime thriller ‘Raat Akeli Hai’, which will mark the directorial debut of casting director Honey Trehan. Interestingly, the film will reunite Nawaz with his ‘Manjhi – The Mountain Man’ co-star Radhika Apte.
‘Raat Akeli Hai’ will also feature the bubbly actress Shweta Tripathi, who has worked with Nawaz in ‘Haraamkhor’. Talking about the film, Shweta told Mumbai Mirror, “Acting alongside Nawaz bhai is a learning experience. He is a master of the craft and makes you look good by just being in the same frame as you.”
A source close to the development informed the tabloid that the Honey Trehan directorial will be set in the 1980s and based in Kanpur. The romantic-crime thriller will see Nawaz playing an investigative officer. Radhika will play a rich girl who hails from a small town.
Reportedly, the film will wrap up in March. We all know what talented actors Nawaz, Shweta and Radhika are. So watching all three of them together in one film will be a treat for all the cinephiles out there.
