Kapil Sharma talks about Padmavati film

Amongst all the negativity on political front that is coming in the way of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’, the makers decided to push ahead the release of this epic period drama. After this film was postponed from its original release date which was on December 1, there were a few other Bollywood films that locked this release date, or the period around it. Among them, one is actor-producer Kapil Sharma’s upcoming film ‘Firangi’ which is now postponed by a week. The movie, which was to release on November 24, is now slated to release on December 1. Currently, Kapil Sharma is running busy with the promotions of his film and at one such event, when he was asked about his take on the ongoing controversy on ‘Padmavati’ film, his reply showed that he was scared to speak on the issue.

Kapil said, “I don’t have much knowledge on this particular issue. Plus, I have a very bad habit of talking anything and everything and that of going out of context, on such sensitive matters. But, the decision of the film completely relies on the Censor Board. If I choose to speak about this issue, tomorrow some people will stand up and start objecting to my film.” (Also Read: Padmavati: Supreme Court to decide the film’s fate regarding its international release)
