Desi girl Priyanka Chopra will very soon start working for her Bollywood film ‘Bharat’. The actress is back to Hindi films after a gap of two years. However, in these two years, back home, the actress’ production house, Purple Pebble Pictures produced some award-winning regional films.

Apart from Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’, the ‘Quantico’ star will also be seen in Shonali Bose’s next film which is tentatively titled ‘The Sky Is Pink’. Reportedly instead of charging its makers her regular fees, Priyanka is all set to share the profits of the film.

A source close to the development told Mid-Day,“Shonali Bose’s film banks on Priyanka and Zaira Wasim, who plays her daughter in the movie. Priyanka understood that if she needed to make this venture feasible, she couldn’t command her regular fee. In such a scenario, she thought it would be better to take a share of the film’s spoils after it has done well. This is the first time a Bollywood actress will be doing this. So far, we have usually seen male actors demand a cut of the profits since they pump in the money as well.”

The source further added, “The topic has so far been broached with one of the producers. The profit cut is yet to be finalised. Before the film is officially announced, the respective parties are expected to come to a consensus on the same, following which she will sign on the dotted line.”

If Priyanka takes up this deal, then she will become the first Bollywood actress to share her film’s profit.

In ‘The Sky Is Pink’, PeeCee will be seen opposite Farhan Akhtar. In the film, both these actors will be playing parents of ‘Dangal’ fame actress Zaira Wasim. Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala, ‘The Sky Is Pink’ is apparently based on the life of the motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, who passed away at the age 18 as she suffered from an immunodeficiency disorder.
