Priyanka Chopra has now become a global phenomenon, hasn’t she? The Desi Girl is reaching new highs everyday in her career as well as life. Priyanka apart from being a great actress is also a producer, social activist, United Nations ambassador and is her own individual. Now, Priyanka has congratulated lawyers Arundhati Katju and Menaka Guruswamy for featuring in TIME magazine’s list of 100 Most-Influential People. Priyanka Chopra herself also finds a mention in this prestigious list. The actress penned down a powerful note and commended the efforts of Arundhati and Menaka.

The ‘Quantico’ actress in her powerful message said, “An outdated legacy of the British colonization of India, Section 377 rendered all sexual activities “against the order of nature” punishable by law. This landmark judgment, overturning a 157-year-old law, was the outcome of a long-term campaign orchestrated by two amazing public-interest litigators, Arundhati Katju and Menaka Guruswamy. The fight has been hard. The LGBTQ+ community has battled on both legal and social fronts for decades-—for their fundamental rights, for privacy, for dignity, for safety and for love.”

With the above message, Priyanka has proved her class once again. The 36-year-old actress has always fought for equal rights and gender justice.

On the work front, Priyanka has announced a collaborative project with actress Mindy Kaling, which is supposed to be a comedy series. Priyanka’s Bollywood film ‘The Sky is Pink’ will also release this year.
