Just a few days after securing interim bail in a long-running legal battle, actor Rajpal Yadav has returned to work, commencing filming for the multi-star entertainer Welcome to the Jungle in Mumbai. His comeback marks a significant step as he balances professional commitments with ongoing judicial proceedings.

According to information shared by his team and reported by news agency ANI, Yadav immediately began shooting for the project after reaching Mumbai following his release from Tihar Jail on interim bail. The actor is also scheduled to address the media at a press conference in the city on February 28.

The Delhi High Court had recently granted Yadav an interim suspension of his sentence until March 18, 2026, in the Rs 9 Cr cheque-bounce case. The court’s order came with conditions, including furnishing a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh, with a surety of the same amount, and noted that Rs 1.5 crore had been deposited into the complainant company’s account.

Taking to Instagram after his release, Yadav thanked fans and well-wishers for their support. In a message written in Hindi, he said, “Aap sabbhi ke pyaar aur saath ke liye dil se dhanyawaad (Heartfelt thanks to all of you for your love and support).”

In his remarks to ANI, the actor reflected on his nearly 30-year career in Indian cinema and spoke about leaving the legal aspects to his lawyer. “I got the privilege of coming out, and regarding the matter which is in the honourable High Court, for any legal questions that arise, the one who will give proper facts and truth-filled answers is our lawyer, Mr Bhaskar Upadhyay. I have given him the responsibility to stay in proper touch regarding this,” he said.
