Rakesh Roshan

Leave the box office numbers aside, Hrithik Roshan‘s ‘Kaabil’ has done another major breakthrough. Pakistan recently lifted ban on Bollywood films, opening their way to the theatres there. And the first Hindi film that released there yesterday was ‘Kaabil’.

Producer Rakesh Roshan is certainly elated about this. And why not? This is surely a step ahead towards a better relationship between the two neighbouring countries. Now that Pakistan has showed this gesture, Roshan believes we shouldn’t delay in reciprocating. “All I want to say is that if Pakistan has opened their arms, we should also move forward,” he told a news agency.

“The film has been released in Karachi (Pakistan) last night with a 11 p.m. show and it was houseful. Today, the film is releasing all over Karachi, Rawalpindi and Hyderabad (Sindh) with 3 pm, 6 pm and 9 pm shows. However, the rest of Pakistan will open the show for the movie tomorrow (Friday),” he added.

Even in India, it has received over 200 new screens, thanks to its excellent box office growth.

Great going!
