Ranbir Kapoor Shares Daughter Raha’s Strong Interest In Ramayana
In an interview with AP, Ranbir revealed that he used to tell Ramayana stories to his daughter Raha and fondly recalled her reactions. He said, “I feel extremely blessed that this opportunity came at the same time I became a father. While I’m working and playing Lord Rama, I’m also going home and sharing Ramayana stories with my daughter. Just to see a 3-year-old so engaged and asking, ‘Did you shoot with Lord Hanuman today? Or Sita? What did you do today?’”
He added, “She has such a keen interest in these stories, which shows that it’s in our DNA. This culture is so deeply ingrained in our subconscious that it feels very natural — the love and curiosity come effortlessly. We hope to reach a wider, global audience and share something we’ve believed in for centuries and will continue to hold dear.”
Ranbir also revealed during the LA event that he initially turned down the film, feeling he wasn’t ready to play Lord Rama. However, the birth of his daughter changed his perspective. He also confirmed that he will be playing a double role, portraying both Lord Rama and Lord Parshuram.
