Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has got the audience excited for the movie to hit the release date. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in the prominent roles. Recently, the cast of Animal were promoting the movie in Hyderabad with South superstar Mahesh Babu where it was revealed that the movie was not named ‘Animal’ initially. Also, the movie was previously offered to a renowned Telugu star.

Ranbir Kapoor starrer was NOT named ‘Animal’

As the makers and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga were present at the Animal promotional event, it was revealed that the movie was offered to Mahesh Babu in the beginning. However, he had turned down the movie stating that the theme was dark for him to portray, as per a report in Zoom. Adding up to this, Animal was previously named ‘Devil’. Post this, Reddy approached Ranbir Kapoor, who agreed to pick up the role. He was later joined by Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol in prominent roles.

During the movie promotions, Mahesh Babu also praised Ranbir Kapoor. He said, “I have told him (Ranbir) before when I met him but I don’t think he took that seriously. I am a huge Ranbir Kapoor fan and in my opinion, he is the best actor in India.”

About Animal

Animal is an upcoming movie directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It carries an amazing star cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. The trailer of Animal was recently released and depicts a troubled relationship between father and son. While the role of the father is played by Anil Kapoor, the role of the son is played by Ranbir Kapoor. Meanwhile, Bobby Deol essays the role of a menacing villain. The posters, trailer, and songs are attracting the audience to watch Animal on the big screens.

With this, Animal hits the release date of 1st December, 2023. Interestingly, it is witnessing a clash with Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur.
