Akshay Kumar’s role in ‘Robot 2’ was offered to Kamal Haasan. This is why he denied

Rajinikanth ‘Robot 2’ has already made it to the most awaited movies list. The movie has Akshay Kumar playing the villain. But not many know that Kamal Haasan was first offered to play the part.

Kamal however had his reasons to deny the part even without considering it. “There was no question of taking up the part. I wouldn’t have been part of this film under any circumstance, and it’s got nothing to do with the role being a negative one. I’ve played negative roles a number of times. Besides, a big star (Akshay Kumar) is playing the part now,” said the actor.

Explaining the reason, Kamal says, “Rajiniji and I have a pact. Whenever we do another film together it’d have to be produced by either me or him. It’s the only way to ensure we do not displease our fans.”
