Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case is currently being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI ), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Amidst the ongoing NCB’s drugs probe in connection with Sushant’s death case, the late actor’s family lawyer Vikas Singh has said that they are not happy with the direction the investigation is heading. The lawyer also claimed that long back, based on the pictures of Sushant’s dead body, AIIMS doctor had told him that the actor died by strangulation and not by suicide.

Now, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has said that all the agencies are being pressurised to reach a predetermined result ahead of the Bihar elections.

Commenting on Vikas Singh’s claim of Sushant being strangulated, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that making conclusions on the basis of pictures is dangerous. He also urged that CBI should make a new medical board to take the investigation forward. “Disclosure of a conclusion by an AIIMS Doctor in the team headed by Dr Gupta in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, on basis of photographs is a dangerous trend. To keep investigation impartial, CBI must constitute new Medical Board,” Satish told ANI.

The actress’ lawyer also said that the agencies are being pressurised ahead of the Bihar polls. “The agencies are being pressurised to reach a predetermined result for obvious reasons on the eve of Bihar Elections. We have seen the VRS of DGP Pandey unfolding a few days back. There should not be a repetition of such steps,” said the senior advocate.

Earlier, Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh had told ANI, “The family feels that the investigation is going in such a way that the truth is not coming out. The NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) case has become like the Mumbai Police investigation, all stars are now being called. It is just a Mumbai Police type of investigation. Sushant’s case has taken a back seat.”

The late actor’s family lawyer also questioned why CBI is not converting the case to murder from abetment. He also demanded that the forensic reports of the AIIMS team be made public. Meanwhile, Rhea remains to be in judicial custody. Her remand has been extended till October 6.
