On the death anniversary of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, his son and actor Riteish Deshmukh got nostalgic and penned an emotional post. To mark his father Vilasrao’s sixth death anniversary, Riteish has taken to social media and shared a pic and post.

The ‘Housefull 3’ star, in an emotional social media post, said that everything has changed since his father, a former chief minister of Maharashtra, passed away six years ago.

The actor-producer on Tuesday tweeted, “I look up at the sky and I talk to you….What I wouldn’t give to hear you talk back. It’s been 6 years…. There is one thing that changed when you left.. Everything!!! Miss you PAPPA!!!!”.

Vilasrao was diagnosed with cirrhosis in summer 2011. He was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital in the first week of August 2012, where he was diagnosed with liver and kidney failure. He was flown to Chennai for a liver transplant by air ambulance. Attempts to start the liver transplant failed. He passed away on August 14, 2012 due to multiple organ failure.

On the work front, Riteish Deshmukh has begun shooting for the fourth installment in the ‘Housefull’ franchise. It also stars Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol and Kriti Sanon.
