On August 15, three big-budget films were lined up for release. Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan starrer ‘Mission Mangal’, John Abraham’s ‘Batla House’ and Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Saaho’ – all three of them were vying for Independence Day release. However, the makers of ‘Saaho’ have now decided to push their film’s release date. Yes, the Prabhas starrer now has a new release date.

The action-thriller will hit the silver screens on August 30 now. Citing the reason behind the change in their film’s release date, its makers said in a statement, “We want to bring the best to the audience. For bringing finesse to the action sequences, we need some more time. Although we are shifting the date from Independence Day, we want to stick to the month of Independence and patriotism with ‘Saaho’. We are dedicated to bringing the biggest movie on the largest scale.”

So with the push in ‘Saaho’s release date, the biggest clash at the box-office of three big-banner films has been finally averted.

‘Saaho’ is one of the most anticipated films of this year. The Hindi audience will get to see Prabhas on the silver screen after the tremendous success of his last blockbuster ‘Baahubali 2’. Prabhas is an actor who enjoys a pan India appeal. His fresh pairing with Shraddha Kapoor is one of the highlights of the film. This Sujeeth directorial has been shot in three languages – Hindi, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.

The movie also has a brilliant ensemble cast of Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Panday, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arun Vijay and Murali Sharma. So despite the film being pushed, the audience will not mind waiting a little longer to witness the magic on silver screen.

Interestingly, Shraddha Kapoor will now have two releases on August 30 – ‘Saaho’ and ‘Chhichhore’. Now, it has to be seen if the makers of the latter film push its release date.
