Actor Saanand Verma, who has appeared in films such as Mardaani, Raid, Chhichhore, and Thank God, among others, will soon be seen in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain-Fun on the Run, which is slated to hit theatres on February 6. Talking about the movie, the comedian said, “I was truly very happy when I came to know that Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain was being made into a film. This show is like my home and my family, and I am deeply emotionally connected to it. It is a massive brand, and I always felt that its potential is completely cinematic. There is such strong content in this universe that not just one, but even twenty-five films can be made on it.”

“Also, there is a large section of audiences who only watch films and not television serials. Through cinema, this brand will now reach that wider audience. The way the script has been written, the cinematic value added to it, and the inclusion of such powerful actors like Ravi Kishan, Nirahua, Mukesh Tiwari, and Vijendra Kala make it a high-level, full-on fun ride,” he added.

Saanand Verma On Being A Part Of The Movie

He revealed that there was never a question of saying no to the film, as the franchise feels like home to him. He said, “Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain means a lot to me. The moment I heard about the film, I was extremely happy. At that time, I was already shooting another big project with Vikrant Massey and was in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, shooting Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan. Still, I immediately managed my dates because I knew I had to be part of this film no matter what.”

Saanand confessed that he is very emotionally attached to the show, and when he learned that it would be presented on the big screen, he knew he couldn’t miss this opportunity. He has reprised his role as Saxena in the movie.

Saanand Verma On Babiji Ghar Par Hain TV Series

Talking about the TV series, He said, “People have loved him for 11 years now because he is crazy, unpredictable, and enjoys bizarre situations. He takes electric shocks, enjoys getting slapped, and reacts differently to everything. He is an all-rounder—an inventor, doctor, engineer, tantrik, labourer, painter, and roadside vendor—basically everything.”

But in this film, he has done something new. He said, “Thanks to the script and writing, I was made to attempt things that Saxena had never done before in the past eleven years. I play an inventor in the film, and I have invented something absolutely unbelievable. That is something audiences will definitely remember. Cinema has a long-lasting influence, and because of this new side, people will recall Saxena in a fresh way even after the film,” he added.

But be it the big screen or the small screen, he explained that the actor’s job remains the same. “Only the format changes. The emotions, honesty, and performance stay the same. The only real difference is scale. On the big screen, everything becomes larger—the visuals, the energy, and the feel. But the end goal remains the same: to entertain the audience in a healthy and enjoyable way. From a craft point of view, nothing changes for an actor,” Saanand Verma ended.
