India Fights Corona: Salman Khan transfers money to daily wagers; Akshay Kumar donates Rs 2 Cr for Mumbai Police

Coronavirus has been spreading like wildfire all over the nation and the cases are increasing by the day, causing a crisis. The death rate has seen a spike as we are losing lives due to this deadly pandemic. Bollywood celebrities are doing their best to donate as much as they can to help out in this need of the hour. Actors Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar have come out and helped with their generous donations as they have been doing a lot of charity work at this time.

Recently, Akshay helped out Mumbai Police fight against Coronavirus by donating Rs 2 Cr to the Mumbai Police Foundation. The actor has made the contribution keeping in mind the recent demise of Mumbai Police head constables Chandrakant Pendurkar and Sandip Surve.

Thanking the Bollywood superstar for his contribution, Mumbai Police tweed out, “Mumbai Police thanks @akshaykumar for contributing Rs. 2 Crore to the Mumbai Police Foundation. Your contribution will go a long way in safeguarding the lives of those who are committed to safeguarding the city – the men and women of Mumbai Police!” To this Akshay was humble and said he just did his duty.

Salman had also decided to support 25,000 daily wage workers from the film industry and apart from that, his family is also supporting their personal staff and their family. Now an Assistant Director from the Film and TV industry, Manoj Sharma tweeted a screenshot of a message from his bank that stated an X amount of fund transferred to his account via Being Human.

Well, it is heartwarming to see celebrities coming out and helping in this time of crisis. Apart from Salman and Akshay other celebrities have also made generous donations to fight against Coronavirus.
