Om Puri's last film will be Salman Khan’s 'Tubelight'

Bollywood celebs and moviegoers are still in the deep shock of veteran actor Om Puri‘s demise which happened early morning today at his residence. The actor, aged 66, was known for living many characters on the big screen. Though his presence will be missed forever, there are two projects which are ready for a release in the coming time. Amongst them, first is the British-Indian historical drama ‘Viceroy’s House’ and his last Bollywood film ‘Tubelight‘ which stars superstar Salman Khan in the lead.

After the news of his death came in, director Kabir Khan had took to his Twitter remembering the time spent with him on the sets of ‘Tubelight’. He wrote, “Omji… u were laughing with us on set jst a few days ago! We have lost one of the greatest actor & the warmest person in the film industry.” [sic]

Further, Kabir added writing, “Omji… I will miss that warm tight hug that you gave me every morning on set. Khudahafiz sir… you were the best!” [sic]

Indeed, it would be very sad to see Om Puri appearing for the last time on the big screens. But certainly, we and his fans expect another heart-warming performance just like the one in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ which was made by the same team.

And even there are reports being heard that Om Puri was still shooting for ‘Tubelight’ and after his sudden demise, there is no confirmation of how his role will be used in the film as he couldn’t complete the shooting.

Only time will tell.

‘Tubelight’ is slated to release during the festive time of Eid 2017.
