Bollywood singer Shaan has denied any sort of pelting incident taking place during his concert at Assam. This comes after there were reports of the crowd losing their cool during the singer’s concert at the Sarusajai stadium in Guwahati on Sunday, October 28.

According to a report in Nagalandpost.com, Shaan was pelted with paper balls and small stones after he started singing a Bengali song. A video of some people shouting “This is Assam and not Bengal” and throwing stones at the singer was posted on the social media. The footage allegedly also shows Shaan saying, “Don’t make this political. Never do this with an artist.”

Shaan later took this to social media site Twitter and clarified his stance and wrote, “Complete lies!!! One Paper ticket folded up was thrown on stage by One Person after vigorously gestering and shouting to stop singing.. That’s all … please stop these wild speculations and lies.”

An incident as serious as pelting should not be wrongly circulated and Shaan has done the right thing by setting the record straight.

Shaan has sung many famous Bollywood songs and is considered as a very good playback singer for singing songs like ‘Chand Sifarish’ from the film ‘Fanna’, ‘Koi Kahein Kehta Raahein’ from ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ among others.
