Trust Shah Rukh Khan to give us some or the other interesting thing, on entertainment front. When not making us swoon with his charm, online, or offline, the King of Bollywood is a businessman, who knows gold when he spots it. So recently, what he spotted was the book named ‘The Bard of Blood’ by Bilal Siddiqi, and now, his production house Red Chillies Entertainment, in collaboration with Netflix, is coming up with an original series on the same.

Speaking on the same, SRK said, “We have always tried to create world-class content and entertainment from India. Netflix has shown that Indian stories have a global audience and we would love to use this platform and its reach to tell more stories.”

Venky Mysore, the CEO of Red Chillies Entertainment said, “We are delighted to extend our partnership to the Netflix Original series. Gaurav Verma and our team at Red Chillies have put it together and we can’t wait to bring this thrilling nail-biter to screens around the world.”

For those who do not know, the book ‘The Bard of Blood’ was launched in the year 2016, by Shah Rukh and Emraan Hashmi. Quite a star-studded reception the book has got, and now, a Netflix series. Way to go.

As far as Shah Rukh is concerned, the king who celebrated his 52nd birthday recently, would be next seen in the untitled movie of Aanand L Rai, where he would be playing the role of a dwarf. Accompanying him in the movie are, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, his co-stars from 2012 movie ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan‘.
