Shah Rukh Khan’s much-loved film ‘Chak De! India’ recently completed 10 years. In this Shimit Amin directorial, SRK essayed the role of Indian Women’s Hockey team coach.

Now, as per a report in Mid-day, SRK and Shimit might team up for another film soon. A source informed, “Last year when Chak De! India clocked a decade, Shah Rukh reconnected with Shimit. It was then that the latter discussed a concept he had in mind for Khan. The superstar liked it and asked him to work on it further. When Shah Rukh returned to Mumbai last week after wrapping up Zero’s US schedule, the two met again to discuss the progress on the script. Shah Rukh is keen on the project and is likely to produce it as well.” (Also Read: Yay! ‘Don 3’ is happening, confirms producer Ritesh Sidhwani)

The source added, “He wants the film to be a departure from his romantic hero image. It will also feature a younger hero as a parallel lead. Though Ayushmann Khurrana is said to be in talks, the final casting call will be taken only after SRK comes on board.”

Apart from this film, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in ‘Zero’ which also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. The film will hit theaters on 21st December. If reports are to be believed then Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in director Mahesh Mathai’s ‘Salute’. The film is a biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma and the shoot for the same will begin in September!
