Shahid Kapoor while interacting with media at the trailer launch talked about the process of playing a character like Kabir and said, “The most difficult thing about doing a remake to rediscover the journey and pain. It is very different from all the roles I have done before. I know a lot of people think this is a edgy role like that of Tommy Singh (‘Udta Punjab’) but this is a love story and it is about his pain.”

Shahid in the trailer can be seen facing turmoil and conflict and makes some questionable decisions. Shahid further went on to add and said, “We have not changed the world of the film, it is dark in parts but overall a very passionate movie. I think we are hypocritical about how we see movies in India as against internationally. We all have issues, we all are different, we all have anger in us. We are not showing everyone is perfect. We are not sugarcoating things.”

‘Kabir Singh’ also stars Kiara Advani and will be releasing on June 21, 2019. Stay tuned to Bollywood Bubble for all the latest news and updates.
